Surah 111: Al-Masad
المسد
Ayah 1
May the hands of Abū Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ Tabbat yada abee lahabin watab — 🔊
Ayah 2
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ Ma aghna AAanhu maluhuwama kasab — 🔊
Ayah 3
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ Sayasla naran thatalahab — 🔊
Ayah 4
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ Wamraatuhu hammalata alhatab — 🔊
Ayah 5
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ Fee jeediha hablun min masad — 🔊
