Surah 97: Al-Qadr
القدر
Ayah 1
Indeed, We sent it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down during the Night of Decree.
إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ Inna anzalnahu fee laylatialqadr — 🔊
Ayah 2
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ Wama adraka ma laylatualqadr — 🔊
Ayah 3
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ Laylatu alqadri khayrun min alfi shahr — 🔊
Ayah 4
The angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ Tanazzalu almala-ikatu warroohufeeha bi-ithni rabbihim min kulli amr — 🔊
Ayah 5
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.
سَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ Salamun hiya hatta matlaAAialfajr — 🔊
